Daland Jones is an exceptional musician, performer, and educator. I have seen his evolution as an educator over the years working as an Artist in Residence at Bak Middle School of the Arts. Students under his instruction have soared in their abilities as well have blossomed as singers. Mr. Jones makes his lessons fun while also holding students accountable to be the best that they can be. He uses different methods and techniques that are always tailored to help the individual’s needs. He also has experience working with a large range of different age groups as well as various styles of music such as classical, musical theater, pop, and R&B.

I personally enjoy seeing how animated and passionate he is about the music and the performance when he is teaching. This makes him a wonderful role model for anybody wanting to learn how to sing.

We were delighted to have Daland Jones return to the 2024 Daniel Ferro Vocal Program in Greve in Chianti, Italy, as a Guest Teacher and Artist. Daland who attended the program in 2004 as one of our younger singers, has developed into a talented singer with poise, style and elegance. He is a tribute to Daniel’s Legacy. In addition, what a pleasure to see he has also developed into an excellent teacher and continues to pass on the “art of beautiful and healthy singing to the next generation.

Daland Jones is an amazing singer, musician and pedagogue. As a singer, he is musically instinctive and uses his voice to truly be the messenger of the songs and arias that he sings. Through nuance, tonal color and great stage presence, he brings life to his songs. I have seen firsthand his ability as a clinician. He clarifies difficult vocal concepts for his students in a way that they can easily comprehend. Daland can extract from them artistic and vocal excellence in an extraordinarily short period of time. Most importantly, his students have fun in their lessons because he creates a safe space that permits creativity, musicality, and artistic expression.
